Increasing Fuel Costs
Impact Air, Sea and Land Charges
It's virtually impossible to predict future fuel prices in today's volatile world market. Group Travel Director's policy is to include the current taxes/fuel surcharges in the brochure at the time of printing. With the price of oil approaching $100 per barrel, GTD is receiving increasing reports of fuel surcharges, this time not just from the airlines, but from cruise lines and ground operators as well. If this trend continues, travelers can expect to pay higher fees for all of these services in the coming weeks and months. Fuel surcharges and/or tax increases or decreases levied since the pricing of the tour will be passed on to the traveler at the time of final invoicing.
